 JODY HARGREAVES / Jody Hargreaves is perhaps best known as Gives, a Montreal street artist whose painted canvases often adopt the figure of a child as the medium through which irrational and illogical juxtapositions take place. Having no formal training, Hargreaves has developed a lucid capacity to create mesmerising depictions of an enigmatic reality that exists in the interstices of daily routine. Having exhibited throughout many Canadian cities on various backdrops of public and private property, Hargreaves continues to give his productions to the public both within and outside of the gallery setting.
