   JON CLAYTOR / Jon Claytor paints personality with such grandeur that his larger than life figures seem to embody sentiments that reflect out from the canvas onto the viewer. A subtle smirk, a look of confused confidence or imposed force, all speak of an underlying feeling of hesitation. The work becomes a type of character study of maleness with all its insecurity and bravado. Claytor is a Montreal based artist with a degree in visual arts from Mount Allison University; he has exhibited his work extensively throughout Canada and in the United States.
