      kyle beal / Kyle Beal’s text and installation work is based on a reconciliation of amateurism and professionalism. Questioning the effectiveness of rigid systems, Beal summons a sort of cooperation; approaching expertise with uncertainty. Visual and literal pun meet in Don’t Think Twice on Second Thought where mirror and gold leaf project a glamorous possibility for an erratically written statement that calls common sense into question. Kyle Beal holds a master’s degree in visual art from the University of Victoria. His work has been exhibited throughout Canada, as well as internationally.
