Mathieu LÉvesque /

Charged with a range of iconographies and styles, works from the Headaches series are composed of floating parcels, details, marks, words, lines, characters and stickers. Appearing to be built carelessly with non-harmonious colors, Headaches are representative of a controlled chaos. The Daydreams series is evocative of fleeting, gentle and banal memories, strange and abstract, composed of small floating parcels, details, marks, and stickers, minimal within their oddly soothing backgrounds.

Mathieu Lévesque is a Montreal based artist, and a UQÀM graduate in visual arts and art history, his work has been exhibited throughout Québec and the United States. His work can be found in both corporate and private collections. At age 31, Lévesque is an active member of Montreal’s artistic community as an artist, curator and art instructor.
