   NANCY BOURASSA / The symbols and characters that meet on Nancy Bourassa’s canvases remain trapped in an incongruous world, enclosed yet somehow babbling into a reality that is almost tangible. Figures seem to speak to something within the canvas, carrying a kind of inward conversation that is lost in surreal landscape of text and symbols. Bourassa is a Montreal based artist, educated in visual arts at UQÀM and l’École supérieure des arts décoratifs de Strasbourg, France.
