gLUTton Fig. 1

matthew biederman /

As part of Hydro Québec’s presentation of the Montreal All-Nighter, Matthew Biederman will transform the storefront of the PUSH gallery with a large-scale projection covering the windows. Scrolling patterns and shifting colors will envelope your field of vision and distort your perception of the architecture itself. Through his creations that mix projection, sculpture and video, Biederman addresses perception, fabrication and classification of the colors that structure contemporary existence in the context of our computerized and mediatized daily life. "gLUTton Fig.1" will employ custom software to create a large scale moving composition at three times the resolution of an HD display that will never repeat. The projection will be an ever-shifting flood of color on the street for the entire night reflecting and responding to the hues of the nighttime city street."gLUTton Fig.1" is presented In collaboration with Art 45 and with the support of the iACT/UdeM Institut Art Cultures Technologies.
