Slightly Uncanny presents the work of Kyle Beal, Patrick Lundeen and Stacy Lundeen, a journey into the human psyche that is attractive, repulsive and humorous, Slightly Uncanny plays with the prevalent notion of ‘’the uncanny’ in art. The act of ‘’making strange’’ situated at the root of much artistic practice, is here found as the by-product rather than the objective in works that investigate and explore themes of morality, guilt and anxiety. By way of three very different artistic practices, the Lundeen brothers and Kyle Beal revel in revealing the familiar in
Slightly Uncanny.

Slightly Uncanny a Montreal All-Nighter Event! As part of Hydro Québec’s
presentation of the Montreal All-Nighter, Slightly Uncanny at Galerie PUSH will present film screenings of Patrick Lundeen’s Sin Will Find You Out at 9,10, and 11pm, with Patrick Lundeen introducing and discussing his film. All three artists will be present throughout the evening and toasty warm treats will be served all night. At midnight, Patrick Lundeen and Kyle Beal perform a live set of their one of a kind eccentric blues!
